ST. THOMAS — The Virgin Islands Housing Authority broke ground on the Estate Donoe redevelopment project on Thursday morning in a groundbreaking ceremony that was held both in-person and live-streamed on Facebook.

The Virgin Islands Daily News – Construction to start on Donoe Redevelopment Project
The new public housing community, developed by VIHA and Pennrose LLC along with consultant Jackson Development Company, is scheduled for completion in December 2022. It will offer 84 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in 14 buildings on 10.6 acres that are designed to be energy efficient, safe and will be able to withstand hurricanes.
